Hair transplantation is the most common technique in hair restoration today. It involves the movement of thousands of tiny follicular grafts under local anesthesia in an outpatient setting at Waldman Schantz Plastic Surgery. In basic terms, Dr. Waldman removes hair from the back of the scalp (donor site) and places it where the hair has fallen out in the front or mid portion of the scalp. A hair transplantation procedure is a highly personal operation and the specific technique depends on each individual's needs and goals. Unlike some of the larger "multi office" clinics every patient will have a personal consultation with Dr. Waldman, not a sales specialist. The Hair Surgery Institute is proud to have helped hundreds of patients from all walks of life restore their natural hair and improve their quality of life. S. Randolph Waldman, M.D., is one of the best educated and most highly trained specialists in the country. A graduate of the University Of Louisville College Of Medicine , he received his surgical training at the Los Angeles County USC Medical Center and the prestigious Cleveland Clinic. He is board-certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and by the American Board of Otolaryngology. Dr. Waldman is a full fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and currently is a frequent contributor to professional publications and is often invited to lecture at national seminars and international medical conferences. |
