Hair transplantation is the most common technique in hair restoration today. It involves the movement of thousands of tiny follicular grafts under local anesthesia in an outpatient setting at Waldman Schantz Plastic Surgery. In basic terms, Dr. Waldman removes hair from the back of the scalp (donor site) and places it where the hair has fallen out in the front or mid portion of the scalp. A hair transplantation procedure is a highly personal operation and the specific technique depends on each individual's needs and goals. Unlike some of the larger "multi office" clinics every patient will have a personal consultation with Dr. Waldman, not a sales specialist.

Dr. Waldman is a full fellow of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and currently is a frequent contributor to professional publications and is often invited to lecture at national seminars and international medical conferences.

Dr. Waldman has also been selected as one of the top 200 plastic surgeons in the US and has also been listed for the past two years as one of the Best Doctors in America as published by Woodward and White and has been listed in America’s Top Doctors 2005 and 2006, published by Castle Connolly, LTD.
